How I installed my LCD TV
I love to have an LCD TV at home. However, if you have bought an LCD TV
without an installation, you would relized that you need to install the mounting brackets by yourself! Well, you
can pay for someone to do it, or you can do it yourself. It's not very difficult if you know how.
This is how I install my wall mount.
1) Determine where you want to to place your TV. Be sure to make good measurement and ensure
that there is enough space on the all sides of the TV. Find out where is the center of the TV, that is where you
will install the wall mounting bracket.
2) Mark the exact spot for drilling the wall mount. You should use a pencil to mark the drill
spot via the mount bracket. Ensure that the mount is parallel to the floor by using a measuring tape to mark the
parallel point from the floor.
3) Use a drill and create the holes for the mounts. I recommend to have at least 4 holes drilled
so that the weight of the TV will be lesser on each point. In fact, for a TV that is at least 40 inches, you should
have at least 6 holes drilled.
4) Push in a screw fastener for each drilled hole. This is to give additional holding strength
to the mount.
5) Get someone to hold on to the mount while you use screw in every single screws to the holes.
It can be hard to get it tighten and I recommend using a machanical screw to do the job.
6) Once you are done, ensure that the entire mount is stable. Jerk the TV mount to see if it is
moving and if so, fix it.
7) Lastly install the LCD TV on the mount. Ensure that someone is helping you to hold on to the
TV while you connect the nuts and bolts together.
And you are done with the job! Isn't that easy? Most of us will find it easy to do it. However,
if you feel that it is too difficult, I recommend that you get professional help to install the wall mounts.
